A mega-project involving real estate, hospitality, and services—launched in conjunction with the new Bioceanic Corridor—aims to transform the region into a smart and sustainable city by 2050.
The Paraguayan Chaco is preparing for one of the most significant leaps forward in its history. In the town of Loma Plata, along the strategic route of the Bioceanic Corridor, construction has begun on the Chaco Central Complex, a business hub with an initial investment of over US$60 million.
Designed to put the region on the global map, the project combines the strong production capabilities of the long-standing Chortitzer Cooperative with the urban development expertise of the González Acosta Group.
Project Highlights
• Continental Connectivity: The initiative capitalizes on the commercial dynamism provided by the Bioceanic Route, connecting the productive regions of Brazil, Argentina, and Bolivia with Pacific markets.
• Arrival of the Holiday Inn: As a flagship project, construction of the international hotel is already underway (with an investment of US$10 million and a scheduled opening in July 2027). It will feature 114 rooms, a convention center, and a resort area.
• Toward a New Planned City: The master plan is designed to create a sustainable city with a capacity for 70,000 residents by 2050, preventing unplanned growth and integrating residential, corporate, and logistics zones along with a technology center (data center).
• Legacy and Innovation: The project honors the history of the Mennonite communities that transformed the arid Chaco into an agro-industrial powerhouse, combining this legacy with bioclimatic architecture, energy efficiency, and native landscaping.
• Tourism and Business: Beyond the corporate and agricultural sectors, the complex seeks to attract a global audience interested in a new destination, renowned for its potential for birdwatching and its natural wealth.
